Birthday cake

Though my office forgot my birthday, my friends did not. We were in Boston over my birthday, so a bunch of us went out on Friday after work.

Remember back to post # 3 when I was lamenting the lack of decent Mexican food in Hong Kong? I forgot to mention Brickhouse which is one of the city's newest and best. In true hipster fashion, you cannot make a reservation at this restaurant, but what it lacks in efficiency it makes up for in deliciousness. Between the group of us, we tried every type of taco, the Mexican corn, octopus tostadas, and, of course, chips with salsa and guac. The street corn was definitely the hit of the night - blending a great mixture of grilled corn, spice, lime, and cheese.

The friends brought along a delicious little chocolate cake to celebrate my 30th.

birthday cake!

The cake was delicious, though mildly overshadowed by the fantastic dinner. Therefore, today's rating will focus on Brickhouse instead.
